Welcome to the Skinsational Body Shoppe. I am an on-air personality for The Rubber City Radio Group in Akron, Ohio and am on an unbelievable life-changing journey.

A few years ago my best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 34. It all happened so fast, in August, at her annual check-up everything was good; towards the end of November she found a lump and three days before Christmas was home with a double mastectomy. I couldn’t believe what was happening to our lives. It all came so fast, one day everything is good and the next your world is blown apart. WHY? With NO family history of breast cancer or any type of cancer, why did this happen? Why is this happening to so many people I know, family, friends, and co-workers, different forms of cancer affecting different organs throughout their bodies.

I wanted answers, so I started to do research and looking into everything around us. I was shocked at what I found, everything we were using to care for our skin, including ones that claim to be “natural” and good for us, had some type of cancer causing agent or prescription medication in them. All of these chemicals absorbed through the largest organ our body has, our skin, everyday one layered over another from head to toe.

This information sent me on a personal quest….to find all natural skincare products that didn’t contain water (where there is water, there are chemicals to prevent mold and mildew) that was actually good for you, worked well, chemical free and affordable. After several months of searching, I came to realize there wasn’t one to be found. Everything we tested and researched had chemicals in them…yes, even the ones that said “natural”.

That sent me on another quest….to create one.
